Volunteer during Hope for the Holidays

Good Samaritan Ministries is looking for volunteers this holiday season to help with our Hope for the Holidays program.

Good Samaritan Ministries is continuing its Hope for the Holidays tradition of providing food and gifts to our community neighbors during the holiday season. We will serve over 500 families by providing food for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, and providing gifts for children in the Be a Light Marketplace.

The Hope for the Holidays program is available to low-income families in Northeast Tennessee with children 17 and younger (including 18 year old children enrolled in high school).

Food Box Distribution

Join Good Samaritan Ministries to help distribute food boxes during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Volunteers may greet neighbors and distribute food boxes in vehicles.
These opportunities include lifting items <25 lbs. and outdoor activities. Please dress appropriately for weather and wear close-toed shoes.

Be a Light Marketplace

Join Good Samaritan Ministries to help run the Be a Light Marketplace. Volunteers may may greet neighbors, assist in selecting gift items, and check-out items in a pseudo-retail experience.
These opportunities include lifting items <25 lbs.
